Choosing A Dog Bed For Your Pooch (Part 2)
Many dogs like to sleep curled up in a small ball so you really want to c0nsider buying a dog bed that isnt square in size. A better option would be a donut bed which can help support their spine whilst they are sleeping. It is a recognised fact by people that have done a lot of researching into dogs sleeping habits that dogs that sleep all curled up need that extra back support.
The other advantage of the fatboy dog bed is that it was designed in such a way that it would be able to support any extra weight in the middle of the bed. This ultimately means that the shelf life of the dog bed will be that much longer.
If you look at the fatboy dog beds even though are rectangular in size they provide all the necessary support for a dog. As the dog sits on the bean bag dog bed he or she will get all the support that they need. The indentation on the dog bed when they lie on it almost acts like a memory foam mattress so the dog can get really comfortable on it when they are sleeping.
If your dog does suffer from hip joint problems then there are 1 or 2 companies that will sell you a heated or cooling bed. Fatboy at present doesn’t sell those types of dog beds but the feed back we have had from customers is that the dogs create a heating effect when lying on the dog bed bean bag. I can vouch for thsi myself as well when I lie on a normal bean bag. Within a couple of minute the bean bag warms up and you can get very comfortable on it.
If you do however want a heated dog bed I came across this site which may be of interest to you. Do be careful though that you aren’t paying an exorbitant amount for teh shipping. In some case some companies wont ship abroad as well so make sure to read the fine print.
